Australia has launched the $50 million Accessing New Markets Initiative (ANMI) to help businesses identify and enter new export markets. The initiative provides financial support, market insights, and connections to overseas partners, enhancing the global competitiveness of Australian enterprises. For India, such programs highlight mechanisms through which countries can strategically support firms in expanding trade outreach, especially in emerging and underexplored markets.

The initiative also underscores the importance of integrating market research, capacity building, and risk mitigation to promote sustainable economic growth. Indian policymakers and academia can analyze this model to explore how similar frameworks could strengthen Indian exporters’ access to global markets, improve supply chain resilience, and foster bilateral trade partnerships.
