MoUs Strengthen National Career Service to Support Youth Employment

SDG 4: Quality Education | SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth

Ministry of Labour and Employment MoLE | Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports MoYAS

Citing a 2% national unemployment rate, the lowest among G20 nations, the Ministry of Labour & Employment, has signed MoUs with Mentor Together and Quikr to enhance the National Career Service (NCS) Portal. These partnerships will extend expert mentorship (via Mentor Together) and connect jobseekers to over 1,200 daily job listings across 1,200+ cities (via Quikr), especially benefiting first-time entrants and underserved youth. The platform has already mobilized over 7.22 crore vacancies since inception.

Relevant question for policy stakeholders:
How can India institutionalize and scale multi-stakeholder partnerships, such as with mentorship networks and digital platforms, to strengthen the NCS into a fully integrated employment ecosystem that supports both job placement and skilling?
